Bryant Group Africa
I just love Africa. I believe Africa will be in many ways the savior of the latter half of the 21st century, as it is the continent with the largest reservoir of natural resources in the world. But I am not just talking about resources in the groundand of nature, I am talking abouther people. The people of Africa are nothing short of amazing, and brimming with untapped potential for advancing both themselves and our world. Just one of Africa’s untold stories is that of the Shona Stone Sculpture artisans of Zimbabwe.
They (the artists) are genius, taking simple stone from the earth and turning them into priceless gems of the world. It has been said that even Picasso studied and was directly influenced in his art, by Shona Stone sculpture artists. It is for this reason that I call them “African Picasso’s."
Bryant Group Africa holds an impressive collection of well over 100 original Shona sculpture pieces today, with sub-collections on loan to both the Commerce Club in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as select offices of the philanthropic organization I founded, Operation HOPE. There are also impressive Shona pieces on display throughout the home that Natasha, Bishop (our chocolate Lab) and I share in Atlanta, and very large, life-size pieces out back in what we now call "Bryant Park".
I have traveled to 100 nations and at least 14 African countries, but the Shona Stone Sculpture pieces from Zimbabwe hold a very special place in my heart. While some are available for sale to the public, I continue to collect others strictly for my personal collection. You should too.
