Become obsessed with becoming reasonably comfortable in your own skin. If you take one line from the first Money and Wealth episode of 2025, let it be that one. This is a money and wealth podcast, and I say it deliberately, because you are the product. Everything else you build rests on that foundation.
When you like you, you can like somebody else. When you respect you, you can respect somebody else. The opposite is also true, and it shows up in our relationships, our careers and our bank accounts. So I spend this episode on the inside work: healing the hurt of your younger self, watching your circle, and learning the difference between being broke and being poor.
I also share a reflection I have carried in my files for twenty years, written by Dr. Benjamin Hardy, on why most people never evolve. The more successful you become, the less you can justify low quality in your life, whether that is food, habits, entertainment or people. Alongside it, I talk about why I step off the field for retreats and small daily retirements, and what the world looks like when the challenge in front of us is no longer love or hate but radical indifference.
Nobody is coming to save you, and that can be the best news you ever get. It means the work is yours and so is the reward. Start this year with a renewed sense of somebodyness. God made you unique, and you do not have to prove that to anyone.
