The (Operation HOPE) HOPE Global Financial Literacy Summit, held on June 17th, 2009, represented the first time in known U.S. history that global leaders convened together in an American inner-city community.  More than 850 delegates from 40 countries and 6 continents came together in Anacostia (home of Frederick Douglass), at THEARC, just outside Washington, D.C.
