President Obama enjoyed approval of 50% or above in 16 states and the District of Columbia during the first half of this year, even as his national approval rating remained lower. His highest ratings were in D.C. (83%), Connecticut (60%), Maryland (59%), and Delaware (59%), and his lowest in Idaho (27%).
