
Ninety-six percent of Black businesses have no employees. That usually means no accountant, no banker and no one to walk them through a federal loan application. The Los Angeles Standard covered how Operation HOPE was closing that gap in 2020.
Our coaches helped owners restructure their finances, modify loans and navigate the CARES Act, all for free. Ryan Taylor, co-owner of Drobes Stogies in Inglewood, secured his first relief loan with our help and then came back for a second. More than $100 billion in federal support was still available, and much of it was forgivable.
