
On April 8, in the middle of Financial Literacy Month, I met with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell in Washington.
We talked about expanding financial literacy across the country, strengthening economic resilience, and getting the tools of financial security into more hands. I also walked him through the ideas in Capitalism for All.
Chairman Powell has served the country through some very hard seasons, the pandemic among them, and I thanked him for it. The timing of our conversation mattered to me. If we want an economy that works for everyone, then everyone needs the tools to understand it, participate in it and benefit from it.
