TIME published my essay on what artificial intelligence means for American work.
AI automation is coming for white-collar jobs. Handled with strategy and inclusion, that same disruption could become the greatest opportunity of our generation. Consumer spending drives most of this economy, so replacing workers without creating new paths for them would shrink the very market companies depend on.
Many of the best jobs of the AI era will not require a four-year degree. They will require skills, curiosity and digital fluency: AI-assisted logistics operators, financial coaches using smart tools, health aides empowered by AI diagnostics. The barrier is access, and access is something we can build.
