A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER
Dear Friend of HOPE,
Thirty-four years ago, in the ashes of the 1992 Los Angeles civil unrest, I made a promise — not to a crowd, but to myself. I promised that the next great American movement would not be fought only in the streets. It would be fought in bank branches, in credit reports, in small-business ledgers, and in boardrooms. We called it the Silver Rights Movement: the belief that free enterprise and capitalism, practiced with a conscience, are the most powerful economic empowerment tools ever invented — and that every American, regardless of zip code, race, or resume, deserves a fair and honest shot at using them.
This document is not a brochure. It is a report card. Every year, I ask my team to hold Operation HOPE to the same standard we ask of the people we serve: show your work, show your numbers, and show up again tomorrow. What follows is our accounting to you — the coaches, the capital, the code, and the communities behind the mission, measured plainly against the world we said we would build.

Here is what I want you to see in these pages. Hearts and Minds — the coaching, the curriculum, the mindset work that moves a person from surviving to owning. Resources and Plumbing — the partners and the physical and digital infrastructure that make a promise scalable instead of symbolic. And Outcomes — the receipts: mortgages closed, businesses launched, dollars directed, lives changed. This is the same Hearts, Minds, Resources, Plumbing and Outcomes framework we teach in every HOPE Inside office, applied here to ourselves.
2026 has been a year of scale. We launched HOPE AI™ to make sure that when the next great technological wave breaks over this country, the people we serve are not once again the last ones standing on the shore — we are teaching AI literacy on the same trusted infrastructure that has taught financial literacy for three decades. We opened new fronts in Washington through Project Unleashed. We stood up Project Restore HOPE for wildfire survivors in Southern California. And this fall, Capitalism for All hit the USA TODAY bestseller list and #1 on Amazon — proof that this message still finds people hungry to hear it.
None of it means anything without you. Whether you are a HOPE Corps volunteer, a corporate partner, a policymaker, a client who walked into a HOPE Inside office scared and walked out with a plan, or simply someone who has followed this work from a distance — you are a shareholder in this movement, and this report card is addressed to you.
We are moving this country from Civil Rights to Silver Rights. Not instead of civil rights — because of them. The vote and the seat at the counter meant little without the capital and the credit score to build a life around them. That is the unfinished business of the Third Reconstruction, and it is the business we are in.

HOPE AI™
Two pillars — HOPE Inside AI™, training coaches in-branch, and Community AI™, equipping schools, nonprofits, and cities — layered onto the same 1,500+ location infrastructure that has delivered financial literacy for three decades. Launched December 2025 at HOPE Global Forum with Dream Machine Innovation Lab, Big Brothers Big Sisters, UNCF, 100 Black Men of America, and Shopify as technology partner, developed in coordination with the AI Ethics Council. This is the engine behind our scale-up to 15,000 offices by 2030.
Banking on Our Future — Celebrity Edition™
A Goodwill Ambassador Program pairing celebrity storytelling with our youth curriculum, moving young people through a Co-Create, Come Home, Stay pipeline. Current ambassadors include Roger Goodell and Dallas Austin.
Magnet Communities
Our place-based revitalization model, with Atlanta and Huntington, WV as flagship sites and both mayors engaged directly. Co-signed with Ambassador Andrew Young.
