Reid Hoffman co-founded LinkedIn, backed some of the most important companies of the last twenty years, and has spent the last several thinking harder about artificial intelligence than almost anyone alive. This week he sat down with me for an unfiltered hour on what is coming.

His phrase for it is an earthquake and a tsunami. The earthquake is the disruption: jobs that change or disappear, industries that reorganize, an economy that shifts under our feet. The tsunami is what follows, and Reid is honest that not everyone will be ready for it.

But he is just as clear about the other side. AI assistants that could transform healthcare, legal access, and education for people who have never been able to afford them. New businesses that did not exist a year ago. A window, right now, for our communities to get in early instead of being left behind again.
