Operation HOPE is the organization I founded after the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and for more than thirty years it has done one thing: put a financial coach in front of people who were never supposed to get one. Credit counseling. Homeownership. Small business. Disaster recovery. All of it free, all of it in the community, all of it built around the idea that the country works better when everybody has a fair shot at the American dream.
