Give those Americans real financial access and opportunity and you can add meaningful growth to GDP every year while easing the pressure on the federal balance sheet. The GI Bill and the postwar build-out worked because they invested in people. The same approach can unlock trillions in potential we are leaving on the table today.
We can make capitalism work for everyone, not by changing its fundamentals, but by expanding its reach. When people believe the system works for them, they step up, not step back.
