On Wednesday, November 4, I will be at Stanford University for a conversation on economic inequality with Congressman Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).
Rob Reich and Mehran Sahami will moderate. We will gather from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Gates Building, Room 119, in the HAI open space, and pizza will be served after the event.
Inequality is one of the defining questions of our time, and it deserves a conversation between people who see it from different seats at the table. Congressman Khanna brings the view from public service and policy. I bring the view from the front lines of Operation HOPE, where we work every day to move people from poverty to prosperity.
The answer I make the case for in Capitalism for All is inclusive capitalism: an economy where everyone is invited into ownership, credit, and opportunity, and where the future is built with the whole country in mind.
To the Stanford students, faculty, and neighbors who join us, I look forward to the questions you bring.
