Project Restore HOPE Los Angeles: A Five-Year Commitment

Standing Together: Emergency Support for Los Angeles Fire Survivors

Operation HOPE was born in Los Angeles, in response to the civil unrest after the Rodney King verdict more than 30 years ago. When the fires came this January, we were not going to stay for a news cycle and leave.

So we launched Project Restore HOPE Los Angeles, a five-year commitment to help individuals, small businesses and communities rebuild. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Cathay Bank and Delta Air Lines stood with us from the start, along with Chef John Cleveland of Post & Beam and Mona Holmes of Eater LA.

That builds on the emergency response our HOPE Inside Disaster team began in the first days of the fires: free financial coaching, help with FEMA and insurance claims, and support getting deferrals on mortgages, loans and credit cards.
